Syncytium is an incubator, open to all who want to PLAY! We create beautiful experiences for others and ourselves. We follow the Burning Man ethos, and we also believe in ACTIVE PARTICIPATION in our camp. It takes everyone working together as team to make the well-known SYNCYTIUM MAGIC!!

The story of Syncytium began in 2010 and is currently the largest Michigan based theme and art support camp that actively participates at Burning Man (Black Rock City, NV) as well as Lakes of Fire (MI). Since then we’ve also sprawled out to the Mosaic Experiment (Ohio), Love Burn (FL), Frost Burn (WV) and many more.

Syncytium consists of people who Do: Creators, Scientists, Engineers, Artists, Flow Artists, Builders, Makers, Musicians, Healers, Seekers and Circus performers.

We are actively engaging our community through fundraisers, community clean-ups and parties, classes on the Eleven Principals as well as participating in Michigan events intended to acculturate people into the Burning Man community.

Syncytium and their members, sometimes in collaboration with other groups, continually create avant garde works of art.
